Matthew 7 verse 7

Ask, and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and it will be opened to you.

For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.

This piece of Scripture is amazing, I often feel we are scared to go to God and ask, or to seek. But Jesus here tells us to ask, to seek and to knock. I love the ending of this set of verses, and sums up for me how gracious and loving our father in heaven truly is!

How much more will your father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him.

This is no prosperity gospel that I am saying today, In fact I believe that through suffering God deepens our walk with him, and brings us to greater maturity. I feel though that God wants us to have that close relationship with him where we are not afraid to Go to him in prayer and ask of him, to seek, and to knock.

I am reminded here too of this piece of scripture, Matthew 6 verse 33, But seek first the kingdom of God and his righeousness, and all these things will be added to you.

Life can and is a struggle at times and can be hard to see the wood for the trees, but I am more than ever drawn to be on my knees seeking Gods will for my life, asking him what it is he wants of me in service, seeking him so I may be closer to him.

In revelation 3 verse 8, we read these words; I know your works. behold I have set before you an open door.

We must have the faith to step through the doors that God has opened in our lives, often it is the beggining of a new chapter in our lives, it can be scary and at times very challenging, but we must have faith and trust God completely.

I am praying these things in my life and I know that a new chapter in my life is beggining, it is scary but I am excited and am up for the challenge, God is faithful. So I pray too that you are up for the challenges that are in your life and will seek God for his will for your life too, God bless,

Jez
