Patience

At the end of Psalm 27, these words ring out into my life, Wait for the Lord; be strong and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!

I love this Psalm so much, life can be a daily struggle and hard, But God is a very present help and a refuge for all who call on his name, read verse 5!

Sometimes we want to run as fast and as hard as we can, even with the promises God has given us for our lives. Yet often God wants us to be patient, often we get just a glimpse of what God wants us to do, or the future he has for us.

I am currently in the process of putting a new album of music together, and often I want to run at full speed with it, and to get it recorded as soon as possible. Yet I know that if I do that the music will sound rushed and just be a noise. it is great to get together with the band and practice the songs and have new ideas come forward while we practice them, and we are sure that God is blessing our time together as we get the music ready for recording. So my prayer is that God will indeed give me the patience and the band, to do the work at the time God chooses, not what we choose, basically we are to wait for the Lord!
